Smart Box Finder

Smart cartonization is the process of finding the smallest box that fits your items with proper dunnage while minimizing dimensional weight across all carriers. The Smart Box Finder takes your item dimensions and quantities, adds your specified padding on all sides, and finds the smallest box from your library that accommodates all items. It then calculates the dimensional weight for UPS, FedEx, USPS Ground Advantage, and USPS Cubic and identifies the cheapest carrier for that specific package using verified 2026 rates.

Standard bubble wrap adds approximately 0.5 inches of dunnage per side. Foam inserts typically add 1 to 1.5 inches per side. Fragile items should have at least 1 inch of padding on all six sides. The Smart Box Finder defaults to 0.5 inches of padding per side for standard items and automatically increases the minimum to 1 inch when the fragile toggle is enabled.
