Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how DimMath ('we', 'us', or 'our') uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies when you visit dimmath.com and use our shipping, import, and e-commerce calculators.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on a user's device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device, maintain essential security checks, remember certain preferences, and gather aggregate usage metrics.
In addition to standard HTTP cookies, modern web applications utilize client-side storage technologies, such as local storage and session storage. These storage mechanisms allow web applications to retain temporary information locally on the device without transmitting data in HTTP request headers.
2. Calculator Privacy & Client-Side Execution
DimMath calculators do not require user accounts. Calculator inputs (such as parcel dimensions, weights, product values, and HTS codes) are processed client-side in your browser or passed transiently to calculate estimates. We do not sell or monetize your calculator inputs.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
DimMath uses a limited set of strictly necessary, performance, functional, and browser state storage technologies to deliver fast, accurate shipping calculations:
| Category | Provider | Key Identifiers | Purpose | Expiration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary & Security | Cloudflare | __cf_bm, cf_clearance | Bot mitigation, DDoS defense, and fast asset delivery. | Session to 1 year |
| Analytics & Performance | Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Measurement ID G-1NJFB7TX0J) | _ga, _ga_* | Measures aggregate visitor traffic, popular calculator routes, and site usage patterns without selling individual personal data. | Up to 24 months |
| Functional & Reader Preferences (Grow by Mediavine) | Mediavine, Inc. (faves.grow.me) | Local storage and session identifiers for Grow.me | Allows users to save favorite articles, bookmark shipping guides, and interact with publisher engagement features. | Session / persistent based on user preference |
| Browser State & URL Parameters | DimMath (First-party) | URL query parameters & client memory | Enables transferring calculation inputs between tools (for example, handing off duty estimates from the Import Duty Calculator to the Total Landed Cost Calculator) and preserving UI selections. | Browser session / client memory only |
4. Managing and Disabling Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, or block cookies from specific sites or across all browsing sessions:
- Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies
- Apple Safari: Settings > Privacy > Prevent cross-site tracking / Block all cookies
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Enhanced Tracking Protection
- Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data
To opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites, you can install the official Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
Note: Disabling cookies will not break DimMath's core calculation engines, which run locally in your browser.
5. Updates and Contact
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect operational, technological, or regulatory adjustments. Changes will be posted directly on this page with an updated date. For further details about how we handle user data, please review our Privacy Policy.
