It does not apply to referral fees or storage fees. For a small standard item with a $3.06 base fulfillment fee the surcharge adds $0.11 per unit. For a large standard item with a $6.00 base fulfillment fee the surcharge adds $0.21 per unit.
What is the Amazon FBA low inventory fee?
The FBA low inventory level fee applies when your historical days of supply falls below 28 days for both the short-term (last 30 days) and long-term (last 90 days) calculation windows. The fee ranges from $0.32 to $0.89 per unit sold depending on how far below 28 days your supply has fallen. Standard-size products with 0 to 14 days of supply pay $0.89 per unit sold. Products with 14 to 21 days of supply pay $0.63 per unit. Products with 21 to 28 days of supply pay $0.32 per unit. The fee is calculated per FNSKU since January 2026.
How do I calculate my Amazon FBA break-even price?
The FBA break-even price is the minimum selling price at which net profit equals zero. The formula is: Break-Even Price equals (Total Landed Cost Per Unit plus Total Amazon Fees Excluding Referral Fee) divided by (1 minus Referral Fee Percentage). For example if your total landed cost is $8.00, non-referral Amazon fees total $4.50, and your referral fee is 15%, your break-even price is ($8.00 plus $4.50) divided by (1 minus 0.15) which equals $14.71.
